Personal Update

Thank you so much for those who've expressed concern and sent well wishes and prayers our way. I'm thankful to report that things are challenging but good. Our baby came early--very early. So, while I'm back home from the hospital, she has to stay there until she's full term. She is in the best medical hands in the nation and, even more importantly, is in the hands of God. She is doing well for her age. But, she is very small and very young. So, we continue to pray for her to grow and to overcome the hurdles that every premie faces. Doctors and nurses call her "strong" and they call her "feisty," both of which make mommy quite proud.

I should be back to blogging more often now. And, I'll be back live on the air this Sunday on 740AM KTRH after the Astros game (probably about 230pm).  I'm looking forward to getting back in the game.

Thank you for your prayers and your support.

Burris Needs to Go

It's amazing how many times one story can change. I guess if it's gonna happen, it comes to us care of Chicago politics. What a shady character! It's now obvious that Burris lied (multiple times) and should not be a member of the US Senate. Not that there aren't a bunch of other corrupt Senators. But, if this man were a Republican from the same state as a Republican president, do you think reporting might be different than it is now?

I know. That's a no-brainer.

Muslim Woman Beheaded...in the USA

They're calling it a terrible case of "domestic violence." Sounds like what may be more accurately deemed "honor killing." In moments like this I never cease to be amazed at the silence of "women's groups" and of the Left. Were the suspect a Christian, much less a 'prominent' one who worked to promote a positive image of his religious group, we would be seeing all kinds of television and internet reports on religious fanatics. Being a Muslim seems to earn a pass with the mainstream media. It's disgusting!

Personal Update

I'm glad to see that my last post on Nancy Pelosi has gotten such a passionate response. I make no apology for poking fun at Nancy Pelosi's gaffe. None.

You'll see my commentary more frequently and consistently in the coming weeks as I'm being confined to bed rest for a few weeks. Our baby girl is well worth my having to slow down (and stop), to say the least. So, get ready for lots more commentary. There's plenty to talk about!

Pelosi: We'll Lose 500 Million Jobs Monthly!

The fear-mongering has reached an incredibly high pitch. Literally incredible, as Speaker Nancy Pelosi has claimed that waiting on passing the current stimulus package would ensure losing 500 million jobs per month! We only have 300 million people in the country. Even assuming that EVERY American has two jobs, according to her estimation, it would take barely over ONE MONTH for our unemployment rate to reach 100%! Read more and watch the video over at the LA Times.

Muslim Nazi?

This is the kind of story that doesn't make much mainstream news. One of the butchers of the holocaust was a devout Muslim. The connection is stonger than one person. The Nazis and radical Muslims have quite a history together. Andrew Bostom has done quite a bit of research on this very topic. Check out his site.

Super Bowl Perks

Boy, I'd love to be either a student or a teacher in Pittsburg! Check this out. School starts two hours late because of the SUPER BOWL. It's actually quite ridiculous! We've turned a football game into a national holiday! What a joke!

Why So Racial?!

This is 2009! What is Rev Joseph Lowery talking about?! The first African-American was just inaugurated as President of the United States! This kind of prayer reminds me of Jeremiah Wright, preaching to a bygone era.

'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'

Pre-Inauguration Commentary

I've been watching some of the pre-Inauguration coverage this morning and, unfortunately, I spent a few minutes listening to MSNBC...I'm both disgusted and saddened at their continued, relentless and unabashed Bush-basing even to the last minutes of this administration. One of the "questions" from one of the female broadcasters was, "How do you think President Bush feels about seeing all these people and this mandate for change?" Hmmmm.....A nice objective question, not imposing any of her own ideas and ideals onto the President of the United States. Incidentally, Chris Matthews' answer to the question was, "What do they feel like? They're feeling like the Romonov's (the family that ruled Russia until the Russian Revolution...and then was RUN OUT of the country!) Mr. Matthews, watch your analogies, the Russian Revolution is not what's happening now. God forbid!

Now that their messiah is taking office, MSNBC will likely become even more irrelevant than it has been.

Judge Rules Use of "God" Ok at Inauguration

It's appalling to me that some judge has to make a ruling to allow what is already a part of our national history and heritage. Check out the Declaration of Independence! References to God abound throughout the writings and speeches of our founders. So, the idea that everyone's just been given the "okay" is absurd!
