Hell Is For Children

Here's another sick story of adults trying to use and abuse their children for their own selfish, sick motives. May God have mercy on our nation, as we have grown so narcissistic and self-absorbed that we see stories of adults using children all too often.

Selling Out the US

Anyone listening to my show or reading this blog regularly knows that I am far from Ms. Conspiracy Theory. Quite the opposite. But, Congresswoman Michelle Bachman's interview with Sean Hannity yesterday got my attention. This is serious, and it's no conspiracy theory.

This administration seems to be selling our country out. Americans will not take this sitting down. We need to bombard Congress and the White House to let them know that our sovereignty is worth protecting and defending.

Americans cannot and should not stand for this kind of selling out.

Depressed?

Scott Johnson over at the PowerLine Blog wrote this insightful and poignant explanation of why he's depressed. Brace yourself if you're an Obamamaniac. It's not pretty!

When Being 'Cool' Is Not So Cool

Being 'cool' may have helped Barack Obama's image as a candidate for President. Cool works on the campaign trail, especially when your opponent is a not-at-all-cool old man. But, as President, cool is not working so well for Mr. Obama.

As I mentioned in my last post, his appearance on Leno is not necessarily the kind of history Americans want their President to make when thousands are losing their jobs every week. Being cool is not the answer or the leadership that Americans are looking for right now. Joking around on the Tonight Show does not give people confidence in his leadership.

Today we have another example of the President's coolness backfiring. In an interview on Sixty Minutes, the President was asked how he handles all these crises with such levity, "Are you punch-drunk?" he was asked. While I think the same question could have been asked with more respect, this nevertheless points to a need to change the 'cool' image that can translate as cold, uncaring or possibly incompetent.

We do need CHANGE. Change in our President's approach and attitude towards the economic crisis we face as a nation. Stop campaigning, Mr. President, and with all due respect, just get to work.

Is he governing or campaigning?

I'm struck by President Obama's actions this week. It appears to me that he is still in campaign mode. His appearance on the Tonight Show was fine (with the obvious exception of the "special olypmpics" reference) for someone running for office. But, I'm not convinced it's a very presidential thing to do. I want to see the President working, not joking around with Jay Leno, especially in the midst of such an economic crisis.

This week the President also released a video message to Iran. This is much too reminiscent of his campaign. More to the point, I question the effectiveness of such a medium for a message from the President of the United States to a rogue state.

Enough campaigning, Mr. President. Let's get some work done!

"A New Low"

There is something very sick in our society for us to keep seeing stories like this one. When did things change to make children prey and not the most vulnerable and most in need of protection?!!!!

The Business of the People? NOT!

The economy is tanking; threats from Iran, China and North Korea loom; and, President Obama is busy taking care of what weighs on the hearts and minds of the American people...or not.

"The purpose of this Council is to ensure that American women and girls are treated fairly in all matters of public policy," Obama said.

What? He signed an executive order creating a White House Council for Women and Girls. Wow! I'm sure this is at the very top of American's concerns for the economy, national security and the environment.

What a joke! President Obama has made so many allegations about the previous administration making decisions based on politics and not the best interest of the nation. How is there a need for a Council for Women and Girls in 2009?! Give me a break!!!!

Angry Americans

"Tea Parties" are taking place throughout the nation to protest the President's so-called Stimulus Package. Here's the latest protest in Pennsylvania. Incidentally, even Whoopi Goldberg is angry. Check this out.

Where We Are Headed? Scary

I read this story on the radio show yesterday and it got quite the response. It may sound extreme. But, we're seeing a lot of extreme, radical things coming out of DC these days. This could be current trends simply carried out to their logical "extreme." May God have mercy on us and forbid this from happening.
