Obama's Supreme Reasoning

Our President's ideological blindness never ceases to amaze me. Since when is "empathy" required to apply the Constitution to cases approaching the Supreme Court? Perhaps an understanding of the Constitution and the principles on which it is founded would rank slightly higher than "empathy," don't you think?

Thomas Sowell makes a great case. Here's a must read!

The Swine Flu Scare

I've been watching and reading about the Swine Flu "pandemic" in the last few days and trying to figure out what to make of it. Quite honestly, when I first heard about it, I was terrified, especially since I have such a little baby I'm concerned about. But, as the flu has spread, I heard too many people compare it to the seasonal flu we see every year here. And, today scientists are saying the same thing. What worries me is not a lot of people getting sick and then getting better but people dying. I'm not sure the flu warrants the panic surrounding it right now.

Who Will Lead, Post-America?

Mark Steyn gets a bit prophetic in his column this week. Prophetic and scary while considering the state of our world and the direction of the Obama administration.

This is one of those pieces that I hate to agree with.

National Security in Peril

Here he goes with his promised agenda in the area of national security. President Obama is tying the hands of people who have helped protect our country from further 9/11-type attacks. Shame on him and on all his cronies. May God protect us in spite of his Leftist policies.

More Global Warming Arrogance

The latest report declares people who are overweight as a danger to the environment. Being overweight, according to the 'study,' means they are more likely to drive cars rather than walk, etc. I'm tired of these "studies," that show so much supposed concern for the environment and so little for human beings! If we paid any real attention to all these reports, women would all get hysterectomies, no one would drive (unless we drove hybrids), and perhaps all overweight people would take up smoking in order to get thin!

A New Movement?

I am very proud of the Tea Parties that took place around the country today. I'd hoped to attend one, but I opted to go see my baby in the hospital instead. No regret here. A friend called me while attending a rally in Van Nuys. I could hear the crowds and I was impressed that if we could get thousands at a rally in Los Angeles, then surely the rest of the nation was at least as angry about the apparent socialist takeover!

The question is what happens next. Was this a one-day-affair? Or, will it emerge into a new movement? America does need change; change to bring us back to our roots! I hope the 'Tea Parties' will be part of the process and the movement to bring that kind of change!

A Happy Easter

I'm posting to wish everyone a Happy Easter...a day late. But, I'm happy to report that our baby made some major progress on Easter morning that, quite honestly, consumed our day! One significant step towards health and eventually getting home!

Happy Easter!

Hillary Was Right

The Obama adminstration has been embarrassing in the face of national security issues relative to North Korea and, now, the Somali pirates. Didn't someone warn us that he wasn't prepared for that "3 am phone call?"

Obama's Real Agenda

Charles Krauthammer does it again. He gets right to the heart of President Obama's real agenda: forcing "fairness" in education, energy and health care. Forcing "equality" sounds a bit Marxist to me...May God help us.
