That story about the barren mother getting her boyfriend to impregnate her 13-year-old daughter is so bizarre, that I must admit that I find myself too bewildered to give any response.

Maybe I have been lucky in my life in that way. During my childhood and growing up years in general, all of my parents friends (with one exception) were happily married for a long, long time, many decades, in fact. My own parents were married for 51 years, their marriage ending only when my father so sadly died eight years ago.

So these cases of parents doing such strange things to their children, is beyond the bounds of my experience. I simply do not understand why people feel the need to act in so destructive of a manner.
