A Christmas Prayer
My husband and I are getting ready to fly to Montana for Christmas. California girl in arctic temperatures will likely be hangin around the fireplace the whole time!
I'd like to take this time to wish you the best of this Holiday season. For those who celebrate Chanuka, Happy Chanukah to you. And, for those who celebrate Christmas, a very Merry Christmas to you. For those who celebrate Christmas, I pray that Christ would live in the center of your festivities. I pray that time with your loved ones will be special and full of gratitude. This time of the year is full of mixed emotions for many of us who absolutely adore this time of the year while at the same time missing loved ones, who helped shaped the wonderful memories of Christmas in our lives, who are no longer with us to celebrate. Treasure your time with your loved ones, as we don't know how long we have each other.
God bless you and thank you for a fantastic 2008!
I look forward to an even better 2009 together!

Lores mentions the loss of loved ones. I feel terrible that I do not remember what those losses were, but maybe I do not even know in the first place. I hope she realizes how much all of us care for her, at least enough that she can feel comfortable sharing with us what those losses were.
I myself have faced many losses, the two most devasting being my parents dying. There is not a day that I do not think about them almost constantly; it is as if they are always not only beside me, but inside of me, directing and/or commenting on my every thought and action.
