Who Won?

There was no knock out in last night's debate. Both candidates did what they needed to do. Biden talked to the moderator so as to avoid any sense of condescension or disrespect towards Palin. And, Palin held her own on the issues and, just as importantly, she spoke directly to the American people and her punches in the direction of old Washington politics and mainstream media also worked for her.

In the end, I'd be surprised if anyone changed their mind about their candidate because of this debate. I think those who like Biden thought he hit it out of the park; and, those who love Sarah are a proud bunch this morning!

My thoughts exactly. Living in deep blue L.A., one is forced not to drink any kool-aid, from either side. I listened to both sides of the pundit post mortem, each ecstatic with their "overwhelming win." The liberal talk radio crowd could not help themselves with childish, toddlerish impressions of Sarah Palin's accent and folksy-speak. This is why I left the democratic party. Overt hypocrisy. Imagine if Palin was a black candidate, and Republican talk show hosts started doing Amos and Andy stereotypes. Biden, to be fair, was very good. It remains to be seen if the mainstream media will point out all his factual errors.

Good point, Paul. I've been just as turned off by the excitement and the claim to victory by the Right as much as I have by that on the Left.
